Sugar Grove resident Pat Graceffa, 66, was at a Sugar Grove Corn Boil Committee meeting when she answered questions for the Kane County Chronicle's Brenda Schory.

Schory: Where did you grow up?

Schory: Do you have any pets?
A yellow lab named Molly and a golden retriever named Bean

Schory: First job?

Schory: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A teacher, but I worked in retail all my life

Schory: Book or movie you would recommend?
“An Affair to Remember” for the movie and “Shogun” by James Clavell

Schory: Favorite charity?
National Multiple Sclerosis Society. I have two sisters who have multiple sclerosis.

Schory: Favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate peanut butter

Schory: What do you do with the Corn Boil?
I am on the Medallion Hunt Committee and the Bingo Committee. We make the clues for the hidden medallion for each of the eight weeks before the Corn Boil, including Corn Boil week. We give one clue on our website, sugargrovecornboil.org, every Thursday. If they find the medallion, there is an instruction sheet and they call me. They are invited to the opening ceremonies. One of the tabs [on the website] under "Entertainment" says "Medallion Hunt," and it has the whole history of it.

Schory: Favorite local restaurant?
Open Range at the Bliss Creek Golf Club in Sugar Grove.

Schory: What is an interesting factoid about yourself?
I sing in the car, and I have a collection of about 20 rocks and minerals, including glacier ore and fool’s gold.
