Batavia police reports


• Broken rear tail lights and a bent tail pan on a vehicle in the 1600 block of East Wilson Street, Batavia, were reported as criminal damage to property in an Aug. 23 police report.

• Two separate incidents of harassment were reported Aug. 25 in the 600 block of Walnut Street and the 500 block of Madison Street, both in Batavia.

• Kellie S. De Pooter, 39, of the 6300 block of Kent Street, Lisle, was charged Aug. 26 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent, disobeying a stop sign and improper lane use in the 1300 block of Pine Street, Batavia.

• An unauthorized account was opened, according to an Aug. 26 report of identity theft in the 0-99 block of Cottonwood Circle, Batavia.

• Mark N. Majka, 21, of the 0-99 block of South Van Nortwick Avenue, Batavia, was charged Aug. 26 with retail theft less than $300 at Walmart, 801 N. Randall Road, Batavia.

• A dark substance was thrown at a residence in the 1100 block of Ward Road, Batavia, according to an Aug. 26 report of criminal damage to property. The damage occurred sometime in the previous two weeks, and spraying water on the substance did not remove it, the report stated.

• Darius D. White, 20, of the 0-99 block of North Webster Street, Aurora, was charged Aug. 26 with speeding 56 mph in a 30-mile zone, driving with a suspended license and driving an uninsured vehicle in the 100 block of North Batavia Avenue, Batavia.

• Telephone threats were reported Aug. 27 in the 300 block of Walnut Street, Batavia.

• Retail theft was reported Aug. 30 at Walmart, 801 N. Randall Road, Batavia.

• Michelle L. Green, 44, of the 4500 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, Chicago, was arrested Aug. 31 on a Batavia Police Department warrant for charges related to retail theft, and on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear related to charges of driving with a suspended license.
