ST. CHARLES – Lazarus House invites community members to join its staff, guests and supporters at its annual Thanksgiving Feast on Nov. 23 at The Salvation Army Tri-City Corps building located at 1710 S. Seventh Ave. in St. Charles.
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with dining beginning at noon.
"The feast has become quite a tradition in the community," stated a news release. "The potluck-style buffet, which is at no charge, gives you the opportunity to enjoy delicious food, entertainment and rich fellowship together."
In addition to the guests at Lazarus House, the feast has also become the family meal for many who live by themselves or do not have family in the area, stated the release.
Plans are underway for food and supply donations, and Lazarus House encourages community members to sign up as soon as possible.
"We need many items and many food dishes to make the event a success, so please consider donating," stated the release. "If you want to cook, please note that the food should arrive in a disposable container and come hot and ready to serve between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m."
