BATAVIA– Take a trip back to the 1970s at the Batavia Park District's Disco roller skating party from 7 to 11 p.m. Feb. 22 at Funway,1335 S. River St., Batavia.
As part of the district’s 50th anniversary “Throw Back Programs,” the staff is hosting a fun disco fever themed night. Come dressed in your best disco themed outfits for a chance to win prizes in two costume categories: kids and 16-plus. Polyester galore, wrap dresses, and bell bottoms will be twirling while the DJ spins Thelma Houston, Peaches and other disco music classics.
Funway staff will also be organizing some far-out family challenges and giving away some fun prizes of their own.
The fee is $15 which includes four hours of skate time, as well as skate rentals. Kids under grade 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Concessions are available for an additional fee.
