• James P. Antos, 37, of the 1800 block of Oak Street, North Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent and not having a valid registration. According to sheriff’s reports, deputies were called to do a welfare check at 9: 35 p.m. at a driveway in the 40W200 block of Fabyan Parkway in Blackberry Township where Antos was passed out behind the wheel of a black 2011 BMW.
• Tools valued at $75 were reported stolen April 2 from trucks parked in the 6N100 block of Route 31 in St. Charles township.
• Someone spray painted “12:08” in white paint on nine mailboxes on Ramm Road in Virgil Township and “LLC” in black paint on one mailbox. A deputy who responded to a resident in the 45W000 block of Ramm Road who called to report the vandalism, drove down Ramm Road and saw other mail boxes similarly spray painted, reports stated. The resident did not know what “12:08” means or who would have done it, and estimated the damage at $30, reports stated. The deputy attempted to contact all the other addresses, but no one was home, so he left his business card, reports stated.
• A Smith and Wesson handgun valued at $700 was stolen or lost, and $32,700 in cash was reported stolen April 11 from a house in the 43W400 block of Scott Road in Blackberry Township. According to reports, the resident noticed that money had started to go missing in September 2018 after he got married, but he ignored it because he did not want to believe it.
