Kane County Genealogical Society to host May meeting

GENEVA – The Kane County Genealogical Society is hosting its next meeting at 7:30 p.m. May 23 at the Geneva History Museum, 113 S. 3rd St., Geneva.

Aftera short business meeting Tina Beaird will be speaking on the topic of “Cyber sleuthing your family tree.” She has lectured nationally on various genealogical topics and is active in many historic/genealogical associations. Beaird is also the owner of Tamarack Genealogy, a genealogical web site.

Visitors are encouraged to attend.

According to a news release, the mission of the Kane County Genealogical Society is to gather and preserve regional historical records and serve as a country-wide educational resource for those interestedin genealogy.
