NEWARK – Helmar Lutheran Church will serve an all-you-can-eat Kumla Dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 18 in Newark.

Proceeds will support the church's food pantry, which, in its 12 years of operation, has grown from serving 10 families to 120 families twice a month. This is the sole annual fundraiser for the pantry.

The dinner menu includes ham, kumla (a potato dumpling), applesauce, dessert and beverage. A baked potato can be substituted for kumla.

The church is at 11935 Lisbon Road, Newark. Carry-outs will be available. It is a free-will donation dinner.

"Help support this fundraiser and your neighbors in need," invites the church.
